Brad is currently developing his second feature-film as writer/director, THE PURPOSE OF WINTER, about an artist in the mountains of North Carolina who’s forced to confront traumatic events from her family’s past.  With Brad’s trademark emotional authenticity and unique cinematic language, the film explores the complex, abstract ways adverse childhood experience impact us as adults.  Based on Brad’s personal experience with child sexual abuse, the film will also serve as an outreach tool for other survivors, with the backing and support of Darkness2Light, National Crime Victims Center, National Children’s Alliance advocacy centers, and top experts in the issue.

Brad is the writer/director of WARRIOR ROAD, an award-winning independent film repped by Gravitas Ventures and Shoreline Entertainment, and available globally.

The film tells the story of JOSEPH, a young writer suffering from depression.  As he’s convinced to joy-ride up the coast to Myrtle Beach with two buddies, his creativity becomes the key tool in his gradual escape from the darkness of mental illness.  A thoughtful, lyrical story that explores spiritual and philosophical concepts not often seen in films.

Produced for less than $600K, the film was created by Brad and a team of top-notch production professionals and craftsmen from his home base of Charleston, SC.  It was shot in 20-locations over 29 days, highlighting the beauty and dynamics of the Lowcountry, and the skills of all involved.
