Brad is drawn to the complexity of truth, struggle, imagination, hope, and accomplishment in the human experience, all of which is epitomized by the founding of the great experiment that is America and the work we the people, as flawed human beings, must continue to do to become a better version of our country and ourselves.
Like many of us, Brad continues to be inspired and motivated by the ideals laid forth in the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution, and is responsive to ways that he, as one citizen of 300 million, can further those ideals, our communities, and our nation.
This includes documentary projects and public programs related to civil rights and constitutional justice, citizen journalism efforts applied to public service at the local and state level, a run for South Carolina Statehouse in 2020 as an independent with a third party, and a drive to help construct collaborative communities driven by common sense and independent thinking.
These actions are outside of any formal organization, but like most of us, Brad is searching for allies and friends in this mission from all spots on the political spectrum who believe that being an American is a privilege. With that privilege comes a responsibility to advocate and protect the ideals of the revolutionary generation, which quite literally changed the world and humanity.
This occurs in day-to-day contact and operations, and is often divergent from the self-serving, performative agendas commandeered by political public service. Constitutional ideals and constructive dialogue driven by non-partisanship and open minds are the most efficient way to innovate and tackle the complex issues we face.
That’s within each of us. Each of us can step out make a positive impact in the public square — on your own, with your friends, or with us. Contact Brad if you’d like to bounce ideas on how to best do this.
